Samlesbury Hall is looking for a retail apprentice to assist in the day-to-day running of their gift shop.

The role will include:

•             Taking responsibility for stock (counts, rotation, etc.)

•             Receiving and processing stock

•             Manning the sales counter

•             Creating displays and keeping the shop clean and tidy

•             Looking after antiques vendors and their sales

•             Serving ice cream

•             May need to assist customers in the restaurant

•             Any other reasonable duties

The ideal candidate will be:

•             Computer literate, and confident using new computer programs and teaching others to use also

•             In possession of excellent customer service skills

•             In possession of good communication skills

•             Confident working alone, and managing & prioritising workload

•             Punctual

•             Eager to explore other areas of the business

•             Happy working in a team, as you will be working alongside volunteers

• Able to show sound understanding of English and Maths (e.g Maths and English GCSE A* - C or equivalent)
