United Response is a leading national charity and we provide support for over 2000 people with learning disabilities, mental health needs or physical disabilities.  We believe that people with disabilities should have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else. This is the vision we work towards and we are as passionate about achieving this now as we were when we started over 40 years ago.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Support Worker to join us and support individuals to live the lives they choose.

Because we are all different, your role as a Senior Support Worker will be varied - what you do and how you do it will depend on the needs of the individuals you are supporting.  You will have the opportunity to get involved in the leadership of the service, helping to organise rotas, maintain records and supervise colleagues.

To be a great Senior Support Worker, you will need to have some previous experience in social care.  You will know that you need compassion, integrity and to treat people with dignity and respect.  You need to be reliable because people are depending on you, be able to travel between locations and work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and overnight as needed.  You also need to be a great communicator, both verbally and in writing and have basic IT and numerical skills.

In return for your passion and commitment, we offer a competitive salary, 28 days paid annual leave which increases the longer you are with us, generous pension contribution, childcare vouchers, access to occupational health, physiotherapy, counselling and advice services.  You will be supported to learn and develop your career at United Response, with fully paid training and have access to nationally recognised qualifications.
