They now have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in HNC Health and Social Care to join them where you will lead the development and delivery of Higher Education Programmes in Health and Care related disciplines. This is a part time role where you will work 17.5 hours per week.

As a Lecturer in HNC Health and Social Care you will carry out research and scholarly activity, whilst teaching and completing administration within the faculty, especially within the area of Health and Social Care. This includes the provision and management of Health and Care Services to provide academic guidance and pastoral support to students. Teaching at undergraduate level, you will be responsible for the quality and improvement of assessment, learning and teaching activities whilst developing learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor student progress.

They are looking for someone who is qualified to degree level in Social Work or Nursing, or a related discipline. With up to date experience of working within a health and social care setting and a good knowledge of major curriculum changes and current government policies, you will ideally have a post graduate Teaching or Education Qualification, although this is not essential. What is important is having knowledge of current policies and practice development within a health and social care setting, coupled with experience of delivering innovative teaching in the curriculum.

With the ability to engage and inspire students, you will be able to work as part of an established team, delivering professional development programmes in a range of occupational specialisms.
