Job Title: Customer Service Administrator
Location: Preston, Lancashire, PR2
Salary: £18,000 pa
The company designs and distributes furnishings and fabrics and due to the company's ongoing success an opportunity has arisen to join the company's customer services team based in Preston. The company is looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and customer focussed individual. This is an interesting and varied customer service role which demands initiative, enthusiasm and a genuine interest in delivering to all of the company's customers.
Main Purpose of Post:
- A proactive member of the customer service team, dealing with both internal and external customers over the phone and face to face
- Administering independent areas of the sales team with a view to achieving departmental goals.
- Achieving group targets as defined by the Customer Service Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate processing of all orders including the administration for the sales department
- Taking inbound customer calls and dealing with their needs ensuring standard operating procedures are followed
- Assisting field based Sales Managers in their roles to offer the best service to the customer
- Liaising effectively with all departments throughout the business
- Ensuring that all credits are kept to a minimum
- Collating and submitting agreed reports to the Customer Service Manager and Directors as required
The Candidate:
Essential:
- GCSE Maths/English Grade A-C
- A minimum of 3 years in a customer service administration environment
- Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft office system, especially word and excel
- Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft office system, especially word and excel
- Evidence of a well-practised communication skills; both verbal, non-verbal and written
- Ability to record information in a concise, accurate and legible manner, as appropriate
- Accurate typing skills
- Ability to handle complaints in a calm and professional manner
- Accountable for self and actions
- A positive can do attitude
- Calm and objective
- Flexible approach to work
- Excellent attention to detail
Desirable:
- Fluent in another language (French, German or Spanish)
- Logistics/Export administration experience, particularly with respect to completing export paperwork
- Understanding of the textiles industry
