Job Description We're looking for an offline marketing leader to help manage, innovate and grow Ancestry UK's television & offline marketing footprint. Ancestry is a top television advertiser in the UK, and is seeking an individual to take our media analytics, buying and offline channel mix to the next level. The Senior Manager, TV & Offline Acquisition collaborates with a global team of offline marketers to develop best practices, television media strategies and incubate new and emerging channels such as radio, print, & billboards. Because of the importance of television and offline media to Ancestry, this role's focus is solely in the offline realm - no digital experience is necessary. You'll take responsibility with little guidance, owning Ancestry UK's offline media mix, developing new channels and ensuring that offline advertising performs to achieve business financial targets. Qualifications Key Responsibilities/Performance Requirements:
  • Oversee market agency relationship; implement and enhance deeply analytical media measurement strategy and buying plan
  • Develop local market strategies that align with business needs, market trends, and media mix
  • Manage direct high-impact partnerships, aggressively negotiating to attain business terms necessary for success
  • Collaborate with senior-level individuals across analytics, FP&A, international, creative, brand and project management teams to analyze and test new TV & media strategies, partnerships and other offline channels
  • Media plan control management - provide thought leadership and critically evaluate media purchasing and planning, communicating regularly with Sr. Director and VP-level partners within the organization
  • Lead offline marketing budgeting process, ensuring accurate forecasting and justifying spend utilizing a data-driven, measured approach
  • Partner with internal analytics organization to oversee in-house ongoing analysis that informs media placement strategy
  • Understand total media landscape, using market trends, business insights and macro data to inform and develop longer-term strategic plans
Required Skills:
  • Around seven years marketing/communications experience including 4+ years offline advertising experience - creative, analytics and media purchasing
  • Deeply analytical - enjoys mining data for insights; experience partnering with in-house analytics teams to tackle business challenges
  • Commercial acumen - understands how marketing supports/impacts the overall P&L of a business
  • Direct response experience - experience with direct response brands; understanding of media as a key driver of a business, tying buying strategies to key business metrics
  • Independent, innovative mindset - capable of launching new channels with little precedent or guidance
  • Agency experience - direct management of agency teams
  • Online brand experience - ideally worked for an online brand/brand with strong online presence
  • Experienced in B2C
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities with limited oversight
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized and strong project manager
