Software Engineer Bridgend up to GBP42,000pa DOE

A skilled software developer is required to join an award winning development house based near Bridgend who provide cutting edge bespoke software.
The main responsibility of the software engineer is to participate in the full application development life cycle for assigned software development and implementation including quality, accuracy and sustainability.
Team fit is key and we're looking for people who enjoy developing great web apps with the latest .NET technologies. The team mainly use Microsoft frameworks though are happy to use Open Source alternatives when they are clearly the better choice for the job in hand.
The team is growing rapidly as products and clients grow so the company is always open to new ideas and methodologies the successful candidate will be responsible for developing cutting solutions and will be involved in the full software development life cycle as well as enjoy challenging tech discussions over tea breaks(!)
The software developer must be able to comprehend complex issues and pro-actively propose solutions. The working environment is very dynamic, requiring constant updating of knowledge in both the technical and procedural aspects of the job.
The ideal software developer will be technically strong, creative and innovative with the ability to apply new technology to solve business problems, other than this experience will include -
* Sound knowledge of software fundamentals and Object Orientated Design patterns
* Commercial experience in .NET Framework 4.0 or later
* Strong knowledge of the ASP.NET MVC Framework & providing web services using WCF
* Experience with development for Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012
* Good understanding of web technologies - HTML/CSS/Javascript.
* A thorough knowledge of SQL and database-driven websites
* Familiarisation with GIT and Team City.
