My client is a leading company in the software development arena.  They are expanding their development team and so they’re seeking a talented Web Developer ( PHP ) for a permanent position within the Company to be based in Northwich.

As the Web Developer ( PHP ) you will have the opportunity to deliver innovative and creative solutions across multiple platforms.  You will be working with cutting-edge technologies on innovative projects for both in-house projects and my client’s roster of blue chip clients.  As part of the Development Team, you will have exposure to the full development cycle, from briefs and technical design to test, launch and maintenance. As the Web Developer ( PHP ) you will be building pixel-perfect, responsive templates based on designs provided by our clients and will use your talents to bring these to life. You will work across a variety of websites and you'll get the opportunity to contribute ideas to the concepts and delivery.

In order to be successful the Web Developer ( PHP ) must be able to demonstrate the following knowledge and experience;

- Strong PHP and MySQL exposure

- Excellent HTML5 and CSS skills

- JavaScript skills & experience of JavaScript frameworks and libraries

- Cross browser/device support

- A strong understanding of current web design/development best practices, styles and methodology

- Good understanding of designing for mobile-first & responsive web design

- Attention to detail

It is desirable, but by no means essential, for the Web Developer ( PHP ) to have knowledge and practical experience in some of the following;

- Experience of VCS (e.g. Git, Mercurial, or Subversion)

- Experience of developing and implementing Magento stores.

- Experience with client-side scripting (JavaScript or jQuery)
