Network Architect
A global Financial Services organisation is urgently looking for an Interim Network Architect to provide technical ownership and expertise on voice and data network initiatives in an outsourced IT model comprising 2,700 users over 25 sites in 17 countries. Core technologies include Cisco LAN/WAN, Nexus, ASA, BIGIP F5, Checkpoint.
This is a key hire for the business and an integral role in the senior IT team as the organisation is going through a huge period of technical change. Supporting a dynamic and high performing IT team you will be responsible for shaping technical solutions that will have a direct and lasting impact across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Technical responsibility/ownership for voice and data communications projects.
- Provide solutions to meet business/project demands based on corporate standards.
- Input and influence to ensure chosen solutions are technically and architecturally sound, meeting all documented requirements
- To assist in the planning, design, and implementation, of voice and data projects.
- Provide SME input/support to the operations team.
- Provide technical support for projects as directed
- Assist with policy, procedure and standards documents based on industry best practices and personal research and experience.
Essential requirements:
- Successful candidate will have several years experience working with enterprise level network/telecom services.
- Experience of supporting global organizations.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical solutions
- Experience of successfully working with outsourced partners
- Able to operate with multi geographic teams and locations
- Experience with industry leading network and security products including Cisco, Checkpoint, BIGIP, Avaya.
