POSITION: Development Engineer
The Company:
Our client is a world class global component repair specialist within the aerospace industry. They have become one of the world's most innovative global repair providers offering the highest quality and most efficient service to its customers.
Due to continued growth they require a highly motivated Development Engineer to join their team.
Role:
To ensure that our client has the technical capability to undertake approved repairs. Develop and obtain approval for repairs that satisfy customer and business needs.
Responsibilities:
Your duties will include participating in the promotion and development of Company activities.
Work to OEM and Customer specifications ensure that the projects have the technical capability to undertake approved repairs.
Using your Technical capability you will;

Develop Route Cards, Data Cards and Standard Practice Procedures.

Specify and order tooling, equipment and consumables.

Perform statistical analysis of component reject rates, communication with Customers and analyse development opportunities.

Develop new repairs and obtain the required approvals from the OEM, Customer and Regulatory Authorities, where applicable, within agreed timescales and cost.

Contribute to Production when requested, by undertaking troubleshooting, process improvement or industrial engineering projects.

Liaise with all levels of employees, Customers, OEM and Suppliers where required.

Undertake all tasks to timescales agreed with the Senior Engineer and the Technical Manager.
