We currently have a vacancy for a Outperformance Manager to join the Risk and Outperformance Team which forms part of the wider Asset Programme Management and Finance Reporting department in the Asset Management Business Unit. This role is based at Livingstone House in Leeds What is the purpose of the role ? As a Outperformance Manager you will be responsible for driving savings against the 5 year business plan called Blueprint 2020, and tracking the benefits through the Asset Management Transformation Programme. The role will be a key interface with the central Change Programme Team and will involve working with the Asset Management Leadership Team to provide updates on programme performance and key issues. The successful candidate will also work closely with colleagues throughout the business and our external Contract Partners to identify opportunities to outperform and to communicate the learning across Asset Management.

Salary £32,000 - £37,000 depending on experience + 25 days holiday + pension + quarterly performance related bonus

What will the role involve?

Your role will involve managing the Asset Management transformation programme which is part of the YWS Blueprint 2020 Change programme. Your role will develop processes to ensure that projects are delivered to time and cost and the benefits are tracked and reported. It is expected that the successful candidate will have strong communication skills as they will present information to a wide audience, facilitate hubs and present to leadership teams. You will have the ability to work with and influence people at different levels of the organisational structure. It is also expected that the candidate will support project teams in the development of their project plans so that they have clear time-scales, funding, benefits, risks and outputs which may involve running workshops.

As part of the plan, the candidate will also drive for outperformance (savings) across the capital programme. This involves working with and influencing people across Asset Management and the Contract Partners to measure, analyse and report on outperformance at programme and project specific level and to communicate best practise that will generate further outperformance.

The candidate will manage the interface between Asset Management and the central change team providing reports on programme performance including benefits tracking, costs, milestones tracking and risks. Experience of using microsoft project is preferred to enable the tracking of the programme.

What skills are we looking for?

You will need to be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to overcome setbacks to meet your objectives. You will have excellent communication skills, both oral & written with the ability to lead and facilitate groups of people.

You will have the ability to influence across multi-functional disciplines and levels of management with high standards of integrity & ethics.

You will have experience of developing governance processes and the ability to design and manage programme reports for a variety of audiences

You will have experience in managing change initiatives or programmes, problem-solving and finding creative solutions.

As you will need to travel between YWS offices a full valid EU driving licence is required.
