Project management
Act as Project Manager on projects as assigned, ensuring that all deliverables meet
client's expressed and, as far as practicable, implied needs and expectations.
Prepare project briefs and fee estimates.
Prepare and update project plans.
Provide leadership to project team/teams, ensuring that projects are completed on time,
within budget and to the required quality to achieve planned profit.
Manage projects, including the provision of timely and clear reports to clients,
preparation of invoices, and appropriate use of accounting, record and quality
management systems.
Regularly communicate with, and seek feedback from, clients and project teams,
reflecting on the performance of one's self and the team and apply learning and
improvement principles.
Coach project team members to maximise their enjoyment and ensure successful project
outcomes.
Underpinning Knowledge
Design experience and expertise in preparing designs, technical reports, presentations,
specifications and contract documentation for sub-consultant and construction activities.
Able to undertake investigations, inspections, and develop solutions to client's problems
by applying appropriate analysis and design techniques.
A skilled communicator who has well developed listening, oral and written skills,
confident in knowledge and able to talk to non-technical clients.
Design software experience/ conversant with REVIT/BIM.
Ability to apply first principles.
Experience managing projects including preparation of project briefs and fee estimates.
Experience leading project team/teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within
budget and to the required quality.
Experience helping provide specialist technical input to the planning of projects and
assisting others to correctly scope out projects.
Experience helping to ensure that client problems are solved through the application of
appropriate analysis and design techniques. Ensure that these solutions are conveyed to
clients. Ensure that designs and drawing will achieve the desired outcomes.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant technical standards, legislation, codes of
practice, and best practices in areas of competence.

Degree qualified with, or leading to, Chartered Membership in a relevant discipline

Experience of writing and presenting technical and or business reports for audiences ranging from the lay person to the professional expert using a high level of presentation techniques
