My client a leading software house in financial services are looking to recruit a Development Team Leader - (C++, SQL, Linux, Windows, Buy-side, Server Side, Financial Services, Investment Banking, Trading platforms) - up to GBP90k plus excellent benefits and bonus - City, London.
- Experience in leading a team of Server Side C++ developers who develop software for use in a high performance, Real Time environment across the entire software development life cycle, with a track record of good practice in server application design
- Able to manage the competing demands of project timelines, software quality and cost, whilst ensuring risks and issues are managed in order to successfully deliver software.
- Produces project documentation including requirements, specifications, high level designs and reviews the designs and code written by others
- Good communication skills: able to communicate effectively with management, team members and key contacts in both written and verbal form
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to work with a range of stakeholders
- Able to work closely with the product team and other development teams to analyse requirements and specifications.
- Experience working in the Financial Markets and good understanding of all the main asset classes.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
The successful candidate will have many or all of the following:
- Experience leading a team of Server Side C++ software developers activities across the entire life cycle.
- Experiencing in project managing software development activities which can span many months.
- Experience developing Server Side software in C++
- Experience designing resilient, high performance and scalable software
- Experience writing and optimising SQL
- Experience of development on Linux and Windows
- Java experience is an advantage
- An understanding and working experience of agile methodologies is an advantage
