An excellent opportunity has arisen with a global technology brand for an experienced Senior and Principle Java Developer. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a global and high profile product.

Responsibilities of the Senior/Principle Java Developer

    • Become established as the technical authority on assigned are
      • Provide software design expertise in assigned area
          • Develop and maintain expertise in product
              • Emphasize usability, supportability and quality
                  • Be an active participant in the scrum team

                    Requirements of the Senior/Principle Java Developer

                      • Computer Science degree or equivalent (1st or 2.1)
                          • Strong knowledge of Java
                          • Web service development (RESTful APIs)
                          • Knowledge and experience of Linux or Windows application development
                          • Knowledge and experience on Linux or Windows development environment (including build and debugging)
                          • Knowledge and application of Unit testing, Test Driven Development and Automation
                          • Knowledge and application of secure coding practices
                          • Experienced in Agile software development processes
                          • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

                            Beneficial skills of the Senior/Principle Java Developer

                              • Experience of architecting and building Cloud based applications
                                • Experience of build and integration technologies (for example Ant, Maven, Jenkins)
                                • Experience of NoSQL database technologies (such as Riak or Cassandra)
                                • Worked on a new product or in a start-up company
                                • Understanding of disaster recovery, availability and business continuity issue
                                • Content indexing or content classification
                                • Document Management
