The role
As Credit Controller you will ensure that debtors are chased and monies collected within specific timescales and provide a service for query resolution with customers. Your responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring that new accounts are set up correctly and that credit checks are undertaken where relevant.
• Ensuring that all issues relating to customers are communicated to the relevant parties both internal and external.
• Ensuring that debtors are chased within the credit cycle as per company policy.
• Ensuring that all customers are informed of status of account – pre stop.
• Informing customers of any changes to their circumstances (for example account on stop/change of terms).
• Liaising with operations staff and producing ad hoc reports as and when required.
Requirements
• Previous experience of credit control, preferably in a high volume low value environment.
• Ability to manage own workload to meet demanding timescales.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Experienced in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work collaboratively at all levels within an organisation.
• Ability to re-evaluate priorities, responding quickly and positively to change.
