A well known organisation are looking for an experiened Ruby on Rails Develeoper to join their organisation on a contract basis, this client is replacing their curent core IT applications with a new bespoke system.

This position will be part of the customer team, working on a number of strategic web portals and sites to serve different communities.

Technical Responsibilities

. Design and development of Web applications that are highly useable and intuitive, adhering to web and accessibility standards.
. Develop and design performant, scalable and highly available web applications that follow best practice design patterns.
. Work closely with the Team Lead and other technical experts within Yodel to ensure all systems designed and developed adhere to Yodels development and architectural standards.
. Being part of the full Software Development Lifecycle; an ideal candidate would be comfortable with both agile and waterfall methodologies.
. Work in an agile manner as part of a rapid delivery team.
. Ensure development and unit testing are carried out to a high level using company development standards.
