Lead .NET/C# Systems Developer

Overview

As Business Systems Developer you will have the experience in providing development services (C#, ASP.NET, MVC and SQL) and supporting business solutions/technologies. This hands-on role will require excellent development skills (C#, ASP.NET and MVC), good SQL skills and the ability to mentor and progress team members.

You will work alongside other development managers and team leaders in an exciting and fast-paced environment developing new and existing business critical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, develop and maintain application and reporting systems/solutions based on C#, ASP.NET and SQL technologies

Lead, develop and maintain core database structures and technologies (Microsoft SQL Server 2012)

Lead, mentor and progress team members in all areas of Microsoft development technologies

Manage the testing of system components

Manage bug fixes and development enhancements

Provide third-line support for application systems and solutions ensuring that incidents are dealt within an accurate and timely fashion

Skills and experience required

• Technical software development background
• Experience in developing business solutions in C#, ASP.NET, MVC and SQL
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, Team Foundation Server and Test Driven Development would be beneficial
• Experience in supporting bespoke applications and solutions
• Experience in data analysis, reporting, data manipulation, migration and third party application interfacing (Web API, WCF etc)
• Experience in creating and maintaining MS SQL SSIS packages
• Experience in designing database structures, theories, principles and practices
• Experience in managing and maintaining SQL object database security.
• Development team leader or line management experience
