Technical Architect/Java/Agile/Leeds/up to GBP70k

Corecom Consulting are currently working with one of the most successful and expanding consultancies in The West Yorkshire area. They are currently searching for an experienced Technical Architect to join their expanding team and help them to continue delivering excellent. The Technical Architect with play a vital role in the technical design and delivery of technical solutions.

Responsible for end to end system design and modelling the Technical Architect must have the following;

Essential skills:

  • The ability to provide guidance and technical expertise to development teams in regards to coding and system design.
  • Experience of breaking down and analysing problems using frameworks and methodologies such as Flow Diagrams, UML etc.
  • Previous experience providing architecture to enterprise services.
  • Excellent experience with Java.
  • Experience with other languages such as C++, C#, Scala, Ruby, Python, Go, Bash, Node.js and PHP.
  • Experience with source code management systems.
  • Experience within a Continuous Integration environment and use of tools such as Jenkins.
  • Experience with Build Tools such as Maven.
  • Proven history of using non-relational and relations databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Cassandra or Redis.
  • The ability to write unit tests following TDD best practise.
  • Knowledge of IP, DNS, TCP, HTML.
  • Experience of working in a DevOps culture with Agile/Lean delivery methodologies.

Desired skills:

  • Requirements gathering and analysis experience.
  • Experience developing and designing technical systems for high performance, high availability and high scalability.
  • Exposure to Linux and Puppet, Chef, Salt Stack or Ansible.
  • Experience with web tech/frameworks such as CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, AnuglarJS and Grunt.
  • Exposure to virtualisation or container technologies.
  • Log Management and Analysis Solutions.
  • Exposure to IaaS.
  • Exposure to Hadoop, HDFS, Hbase or Apache Spark.

The Technical Architect must be able to provide consultative support to multiple areas and provide technical leadership to development.

The Technical Architect can expect a salary of GBP50,000 - GBP70,000 Dependent on experience, 25 days holiday, pension plan plus more benefits.
