Technical Business Analyst

My client, based in the centre of Leeds are currently recruiting for a Technical Business Analyst.

Must haves

Demonstrable operation as a hands-on BA, ideally in a lead role, and on large scale software delivery projects - at least one of which will have been a complex, enterprise project or programme

A proven track record of delivering software, ideally using agile methodologies

Strong stakeholder management

The knowledge of and practical experience in the various techniques to elicit, analyse and communicate requirements

An in-depth understanding of the software delivery life cycle, ideally within an agile environment

SDLC Experience

oContribution to inception and elaboration project activities eg the preparation of pre-sales proposals

oSupporting development and testing activities, ideally as part of agile, iteration driven delivery

oSupporting the definition and execution of user acceptance testing

oSupporting go-live transition activities

Desirables

Familiarity with project management tools and techniques eg planning and estimating

Exposure to the delivery of different project types, such as commercial off the shelf; new development; and enhancements/support

Experience in activities such as:

oConceptual Datamodelling (modelling the domain)

oBusiness Requirements Analysis using structured techniques eg BPMN

oLogical Datamodelling (modelling the system)

oSystems Requirements Analysis using structured techniques eg UML

Practical, hands-on experience with:

oRequirements management and documentation tools (eg JIRA, Confluence)

oModelling tools (eg Sparx Enterprise Architect)

oVisualisation tools (eg Balsamiq)

oStandard Microsoft Office software

Familiarity with, or appreciation of:

oData discovery & manipulation via SQL

Salary is basic of up to GBP55,000 plus benefits.
