: Purpose of the job To work with the Customer Marketing Lead and Head of EMEA Marketing with specific areas of responsibility for understanding, planning, programming and activation of defined market segments, driving awareness of and preference for, Herman Miller, whilst expanding and mobilising these audiences to become brand champions and advocates.
- Gain a deep understanding of the designated customer segments, both qualitatively and quantitatively, to inform the business and influence our decisions
- Develop, plan, manage and deliver strategic and tactical marketing campaigns to agreed audience segments across EMEA, so they are informed and inspired by our brand and our products and services, and therefore buy more
- Together with leaders across the business, define, recommend and influence audience priorities for the business based on market research and customer data, which may be customer segment and/or geographic
- Work closely with regional commercial leads in developing both strategic and tactical marketing campaigns, that deliver the HM brand to the chosen segments.
- Implement marketing campaigns on time and on budget, and manage costs/budgets effectively.
- Conduct market research, SWOT and gap analysis, competitive tracking and audits and develop customer insights and profiles to gain greater understanding of our key audiences to learn more about wants, needs, barriers and drivers, to understand what they think, why they think it, where they are and how we reach them.
- Use and analyse business information and CRM data to develop and implement data-driven customer contact strategy, to increase customer retention, loyalty and overall value.
- Develop a communications strategy targeted at specific audiences across all relevant media, including but not limited to PR, events, website, and sales tools, across both digital and print.
- Contribute to the case study programme to capture relevant customer stories and testimonials which will resonate with wider audiences.
- Maximise customer experiences for the relevant customer audiences when visiting any Herman Miller facility so that the right tools and information are delivered to meet customer needs, thereby ensuring our facilities are optimised.
- Measure levels of customer satisfaction and develop strategies to act upon them.
- Liaise closely with the Sales teams responsible for the specific audiences, creating a continuous flow of shared information and knowledge, which guides our direction and decision making.
- Use customer insights and research to provide input to product marketing campaigns, so that they resonate with the target audience.
- Represent the needs of the chosen audiences in the development of regional or global initiatives or campaigns.
- Formulate and maintain relationships with external consultants that are beneficial to Herman Miller, managing external agencies on projects when required.
- Develop and maintain links with Herman Miller colleagues in the U.S, particularly the audience marketing leads for the agreed segments, for purposes of information sharing and leveraging of resources, and to ensure the global consistency of Herman Miller's brand across initiatives and campaigns.
- Write reports and advise Senior Management and Directors as required.
- Maintain and expand market knowledge and marketing knowledge.
- Provide support to the wider business when required.
