: The role will have regional responsibility for delivering and hosting talks, discussions and events based on Insights driven by Herman Millers extensive research and design programmes. Further to this it will be the regional liaison for marketing and promotional activities as well as managing the networking activities of the RDC and beyond. Overall Objectives To support the business strategy of the MEA team by: • Ensuring our research and insight adds value to our sales proposition at many levels including client presentations and tenders • Promoting Herman Miller to the position of being a trusted adviser and business partner measured through resultant product sales. • Using the Insight delivery programme to enable Herman Miller and it's dealers to connect with existing customers or new prospects • Encouraging feedback to ensure Herman Miller is current on the market view of workplace issues and trends. • Managing and delivering the Living Office Discovery tool on appropriate projects. • Providing local marketing support for rollout and implementation of campaigns and initiatives • Support local initiatives and opportunities with tactical marketing support • Increase visitor traffic through the Dubai RDC and manage events hosted there • Generate and nurture awareness amongst the architecture and design community of Herman Miller by building new relationships with relevant industry contacts and influencers and networking ______________________________________________ Specific responsibilities • Oversee and manage any regional research • Coordinate, organise and host events both at the RDC as well as at external locations regionally • Deliver targeted research and insight sat dealers, clients and events • Collate relevant non HM research into one location • Ensure local marketing campaigns and initiatives are understood and adopted by the MEA Sales and Dealer team, and reach relevant external audiences. • Be the local point of contact for local trade media, and responsible for rolling out of PR campaign across the region as an extension of the UK/central resource • Manage and grow the MEA mailing list • Be responsible for customer experience and maximising use of the space (messaging, etc), including use by relevant third-parties to attract new audience, and metrics to measure effectiveness. • Provide marketing support for the regional Healthcare business, by liaising with colleagues in Healthcare Marketing and Product Management in the USA. • Be the point of contact for other company marketing teams such as CBS and Posh ______________________________________________________________ Reports to: Insight Group Director EMEA dotted line to Regional Director Internal Contacts External Contacts Regional Sales & Design Dealers Marketing A & D Insights Group Industry Associations _______________________________________________________________ Education, experience and competencies Essential: Degree or equivalent qualification in any relevant discipline. Experience of delivering presentations to groups and individuals. English to a high standard, written and spoken Preferred: At least two years experience in workplace related industry in customer facing role. Used to working in support of other teams. Experience in marketing and events. Knowledge of architecture and design Ability to speak Arabic or French Cultural understanding and knowledge of the Middle East Competencies: Excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal Good planning Comfortable working as part of a team of professionals. Able to manage multiple projects and prioritise. Strong interpersonal skills. Must be flexible to work out of hours when required and to travel regionally Self-motivated with strong work ethic Diplomatic Ambitious and energetic Able to articulate own thoughts clearly and persuade others. Able to contribute to strategic direction/development. Thinks logically and conceptually. Has confidence and 'presence' to command attention and respect outside own department.
