We are looking for a Kitchen Porter with great attention to detail, with a positive, warm natured and proactive personality. The role of the kitchen porter is to ensure that the kitchen is clean and well stocked and that all items are looked after and put away ready for each service. The Kitchen Team at Polurrian Bay produce food of the highest quality using the freshest local ingredients some of which they grow themselves at the hotel and requires a well organised individual who has great attention to detail and can work well under pressure to assist them in the kitchen.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• To maintain order and cleanliness of the kitchen and assist the Chef's with the preparation of food
• Clean all kitchen equipment to the highest standard both manually and using machinery
• Be approachable and friendly at all times to guests and maintain a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere in the hotel.
• Ensure all food hygiene procedures are adhered to at all times
• Report any lost property immediately and follow correct procedure

To be successful in your application for our Kitchen Porter position, you must possess the following:
• Previous experience in a similar role, keeping areas clean and well stocked
• Committed to delivering high level of good Food Hygiene and Health and Safety practices
• Enjoy being busy and can work well under pressure during service
• Have the initiative to prepare all kitchen areas ready for next service
• Ability to work effectively with a team of hardworking chefs with a passion for food
• Positive, welcoming attitude with good communication & listening skills
• Flexibility to work hours as determined by the business, this is a 0 hours contract working up to 40 hours a week. You need to be able to work shifts, cover bank holidays and weekends.

Only candidates legally eligible to work in the UK need apply. The hotel location is in Mullion, by the Lizard Peninsula, there is no public transport so you will need your own means of transport as this is NOT a live in position.
