Purpose of Role:
Grow market share and audiences across the growing global air travel markets by communicating client value propositions and brand messaging to relevant audiences
Work as part of the cross functional air travel team and global marketing team to deliver marketing activities across all channels to generate sales opportunities and revenue
Key responsibilities
Define the marketing plan:
Outline a global marketing plan for the air travel sector including the current market penetration and potential opportunity across airlines, airports and air travel service markets for client online subscription services across the Americas, EMEA and APAC. Define the value propositions, budget, activities and content strategy needed as part of the plan to deliver audience growth and sales opportunities world-wide.
Multi channel marketing execution:
Manage and execute global marketing plans utilising all channels and making maximum use of available marketing budget to grow audience, leads and new business revenue.
Work with internal teams and carry out customer calls and visits to build deep understanding of audiences and their challenges and ensure these are reflected in the sector plans.
Develop and deliver a global content plan to support the marketing plan and help communicate the client value proposition to air travel professionals.
Achieve the target for the % of new business revenue achieved from leads from your efforts and KPIs linked to your sector and channels.
Audience growth:
Define the market segments and relevant target personnel within airlines, airports and other air travel segments worldwide, taking input from marketing colleagues in the US and Asia. Explore and define a customer data growth strategy for the air travel sector, working with marketing colleagues to define growth targets and strategies to grow audiences.
Tracking & Measuring:
Track and report on the impact of marketing channels on air travel sector revenue growth and demonstrate effectiveness of activities on growing audiences and moving prospects along the buying cycle. Work with marketing colleagues to track, test and optimise customer journeys for air travel audiences.
Customer retention and growth:
Work closely with the global sales team and air travel cross functional team to deliver account based marketing plans and marketing programmes to support the growth of strategic air travel sector customer accounts across the world. Work with marketing colleagues to deliver tailored welcome programmes and customer communications to the air travel segments and user types to influence retention and renewal rates for online subscription services.
Sales enablement: work with marketing colleagues globally to create a suite of on and off line materials that engage existing and potential customers and support the buying cycle across all audiences in the air travel segments.
Selection Criteria
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
Essential
Minimum of three years' experience in B2B marketing roles
Educated to degree level
Proven track record in:
Writing and executing marketing plans
Using content marketing to generate prospects and leads to build a sales pipeline
Managing multi channel marketing activities
Writing compelling copy that drives conversions
Optimising and testing for conversion
Using KPIs and data to drive campaign planning
User journey analysis and optimisation
Managing budgets and illustrating ROI from investments
Working with multiple stakeholders to outline and work to common goals
Delivering customer programmes to support retention and deliver growth revenue
Using web analytics tools to support reporting and planning
Managing external suppliers and partners
Excellent analytical and reporting skills
Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work autonomously and show initiative
Desirable
Marketing qualification
Proven track record in localising campaigns outside the UK
Knowledge of aerospace and aviation markets
Experience of working within a Matrix environment
Experience of working as part of a global team
