We currently have permanent vacancies for HGV Mechanics at our Eaglescliffe workshop. This opportunity will be working 5 days a week with overtime available.
As a HGV Mechanic your role will involve:
- Providing maintenance and repairs on a fleet of commercial vehicles ranging from 7.5 tonne vans and trucks up to Class 1 and 2 vehicles.
- To ensure all service and inspection documents are correctly completed.
- Completion of job sheets and quantification of time.
- Carrying out preventative maintenance.
- Prepare, inspect and submit vehicles to a standard appropriate for the issuing of an annual test certificate.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ensure that good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
- Ensure Health and Safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
Ideally candidates will be fully qualified to City and Guilds Level 2 or equivalent with a good understanding of HGV maintenance, applicants with a HGV licence will be at an advantage.
