A modern secondary academy in Birmingham has begun the search for enthusiastic, talented graduates to join their support team as English Learning Mentors and Teaching Assistants.

Person Specification
This role would suit an inventive English graduate who has an impressive academic record and a 2:1 or better in your degree and an inspirational attitude. The ideal candidate will have a fervent interest in a career in teaching and an infectious enthusiasm.

About the Role
As an English Learning Mentor / Teaching Assistant your role will involve you joining the support team working closely with the SENCo. The role provides you with the great chance to work with SEN students and you will support small groups of pupils through targeted intervention sessions. You will be working on a 1:1 basis with the pupils, running pupil drop in sessions, you will draw up action plans for study and revision and keep a record of their achievements. You will the chance to play a key role in after school activities through a host of extra-curricular options.
