Our client is a leading UK charity for around 700,000 people with autism and their families. They provide information, support and pioneering services, and campaign for a better world for people with autism and are proud of the difference they make.

Where will you be working as a Support Worker
You will be working from a Residential Special School based in Thurnscoe, South Yorkshire. Our client offers residential facilities for young people aged 10 – 19.

Your role
You will provide the highest standard of support to children with Autism supporting them in achieving positive and meaningful outcomes in line with their care plans.

Requirements

  • Qualification to Level 3 for Children desirable (if you do not have this qualification you must be willing to undertake as this is a requirement of the role)
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths grade D or above essential
  • GCSE or equivalent in English grade D or above essential
  • Full Driving Licence essential
  • Knowledge of Autism
  • Experience of working with complex needs

Our client only has two term time only positions available, the first is 37 hours pw £12,043 pa actual salary and the second is 12 hours pw £3,905 pa actual salary but both have a requirement to work up to 12 weekends and four weeks of the school holidays for which extra payment is made.
