Our client is a registered charity dedicated to improving the life experiences of people with complex epilepsy, autism, learning and physical disabilities.

They provide exceptional education, therapy and life skills development from their base near Alderley Edge and in the local community.

They are looking to appoint a Personal Tutor to provide pastoral support for a case load of students. In this role you will be the first point of contact for parents and carers.

You will complete a tutorial with each student every half term and update parents and carers on the progress made. You will set core personal targets and review and update them when necessary. You will collate evidence of student achievement and update the individual learning plan accordingly.

You will have responsibility for reviewing student attendance, completing the Learner Survey and will also have some weekly teaching responsibilities where you will provide teaching cover for both short and long term absences.

The successful candidate will hold a teaching qualification or be currently working towards one, supported by a minimum Level 4 qualification and have teaching experience. Ideally you will have experience of working with students with a range of learning, communication and physical disabilities. You will be an excellent communicator, have good organisational and time management skills and be able to work as part of a multi disciplinary team.
