Job title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Birkenhead

Salary: £16,500

Hours: Part time initially

Our Client provides reinstatement and repair services to both the insurance and property sectors via a panel of fully managed and vetted building contractors. They deal with a variety of insurance related property claims and provide exceptional customer service.

They are looking for a bookkeeper with at least 2 years' experience to join a growing business in a fantastic working environment. Initially the role will be on a part time basis of 20 hours per week, with a view towards a more permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with payments to contractors
  • Managing aged debt
  • Processing of purchase and sales invoices
  • Bank line transactions for contractor payments
  • Remittance advices for contractors
  • Preparing monthly reports as requested by clients and Directors as appropriate
  • General administration tasks
  • Undertaking other duties as assigned from time to time by the Directors and/or accountants

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years responsible accounting or bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and financial reports
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
  • Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills and an eye for detail
