At HSL (High Seat Ltd), we are looking for a Sales Assistant who sees Sales and Customer Service as a number one priority, who has the ability to listen to our customers, establish their needs and be a good communicator, by giving them the best possible advice.

We’re a friendly, family run business, and we’ve been making and selling back-care chairs, recliners and beds since 1968. No rushing, no jargon, no hard sell - just our unique ‘people-friendly’ approach to selling furniture, as enabled HSL to currently have 45 stores, more than 200 staff nationwide and we’re going from strength to strength.

Is this you?

• You must have previous commercial retail experience or sales experience.
• You must be able to achieve set performance targets both on an individual basis and in a team environment.
• You will be able to engage and inspire customers and have the ability to deliver no-pressure sales.
• You must have exceptional customer service skills and be passionate about retail.
• You’re a people person – and enjoy engaging with people of all ages and backgrounds.
• You are an enthusiastic team player who thrives in working in a team environment.
• You have reasonable IT skills and a mature outlook on life.

You will…

• Report to the Team Leader, and help us create and maintain a successful retail furniture store to the very highest standards.
• Receive a week of training at our Academy delivered by experienced professionals, followed by comprehensive in-store training.
• Help us create a stimulating, helpful, enjoyable and knowledgeable store environment.
• Work a 35 hour week over 5 days, excluding one hour lunch breaks, with 30 days holiday per year.

The 35 hour week is worked on a Rota basis covering Monday to Sunday:

• Monday to Saturday 9.00am – 6.00pm
• Sunday 9.00am to 4.00pm
