Person Specification
You must be a passionate and intelligent Maths graduate who has a second class degree at the very least and has the ability to utilise your extensive curriculum knowledge in lessons. The school needs a graduate who has a willingness to be flexible with their schedule and participate in before school and after school clubs. You will be a graduate who can use your avid interest to motivate every student you come into contact with. You will be able to fuel a passion for learning in your pupils through your enthralling approach to education.

About the Role
As a Maths Intervention Assistant your role will involve you working with pupils in KS4 and some KS3 pupils solely in the Maths department. The teacher will train you in how to create an engaging and differentiated lesson plan, and once you gain enough confidence you will be asked to devise your own. You will work closely with the class teacher and Head of Year to take responsibility for Maths intervention programmes, having your own small groups of students outside of the classroom. You will be monitoring pupils progress and relaying this back to the class teacher. Aspiring teachers are often given the option of staying on at the school to complete their teacher training through the school's impressive and thorough School Direct teacher training package.

The School
This school is a large secondary found in Birmingham and is easily accessible by all forms of transport. The school has been consistently graded as good by Ofsted and is on its way to 'Outstanding'. Parents are hugely proud of the school and places are limited due to the excess subscriptions.
