My client manufactures lighting control systems including relays, dimmers, ballast controllers, sensors etc. They're a small team of 8 people in Germany who are experiencing more leads through marketing and partners than they can handle, hence they need to expand the sales force to capitalise on the influx of incoming business as well as making the relevant outbound business development efforts.
This position will focus on customers across the DACH region, mainly within the industrial/ office/ retail (supermarket) space. Dealing with the end users directly, you'll also need to liaise with 'electrical specifiers' to make sure you're delivering the right solutions on time and within budget.
It's a home based role reporting in to the Frankfurt office, and you'll be expected to travel several days a week to meet with customers and/or partners.
The successful candidate will also need:
- A technical education (in electrical engineering or similar)
- Experience selling complex lighting solutions
- A network within the industrial/ office/ retail segments
- Business fluent German and English
- The willingness to travel
With an enviable portfolio of projects and the capability to cover such a wide range of application areas, it's unsurprising that my client are experiencing such high volumes of enquiries. Despite the small team size in Germany, they are a very well recognised brand with several offices across the UK and Europe. Each satellite office works quite independently within the assigned territory, so you'll still have a lot of input in how the business operates on a daily basis and will be a valued member of the team.
