Software Engineer (.NET): About the Role

You will be responsible for the development, maintenance and support of a number of bespoke software applications. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, test, development and administration of software development to agreed user and system requirements, timescales and standards. You will keep pace with technology changes that affect software development, and be proactive in learning and implementing new technologies. You will monitor, analyse and report any problems in the operational use and performance of systems.

Software Engineer (.NET): Technical Skills

Essential:

• C# experience with the following technologies: .NET Framework 3.5, 4.0, 4.5/WCF/Win Forms/ASP .net/SQL Server: DDL and DML

Desirable:

• WPF
• Experience writing thread safe multi-threaded code
• SOA (service oriented architecture)
• HTML

Additional Skills/Experience

• Strong experience in programming and software development using the above tools and technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Good understanding of relational database and technologies
• Understanding and application of Client Server architecture
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to think on your feet
• Strong creative ability which will enable you to contribute and develop a range of ideas.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build solid relationships at all levels across the business
