Our Client is a leading UK provider of vendor-agnostic visual collaboration solutions, which is experiencing progressive growth across our programme delivery division.  Due to this growth, there is a requirement for a proven Project Delivery Manager. 

Job purpose

As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering projects on-time and on-budget, the Project Delivery Manager will be responsible for the co-coordination and delivery of multiple small to medium sized projects to clients throughout England and Wales.  The Project Delivery Manager will lead multiple teams of security cleared implementation engineers to deliver best-in-class visual collaboration solutions and be the main point of contact for the Client throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities 

As Project Delivery Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Programme Delivery and will have the following core responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage multiple small to medium sized projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget and to the correct level of quality.
  • Be the single point of contact for the Client throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Ensure the Clients expectations are set and effectively managed.
  • Assume overall responsibility for project delivery.
  • Control delivery schedules, costs and quality by:
  • Ensuring an effective handover from Sales to the Project team and then onto the Service team.
  • Working with the Client to define and agree a project schedule.
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure that equipment is ordered, delivered and billed on time.
  • Identifying, analysing, monitoring and mitigating project RAID items.
  • Managing change control and prevent scope creep.
  • Working with 3rd parties (as appropriate) to ensure the work is completed on time.
  • Communicating effectively with all project stakeholders.
  • Monitoring the quality of technical work through reviews with relevant technical teams.
  • Provide effective, timely management information/status reports.
  • Work with all areas of the business to ensure the timely resolution of any identified issues.
  • Ensure that all necessary post-live operational support requirements are in place.
  • Working with the various Heads of Department to ensure that the assigned resources have the appropriate skills to undertake the project.

    Core Skills

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role with recent knowledge of Prince2 (ideally you will have a Prince2 qualification).
    • A self-motivated, dynamic individual who is able to challenge and influence others whilst maintaining collaborative working relationships with all parties.
    • Stakeholder management expertise at all levels.
    • Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
    • Competent in use of Word, Excel and MS Project.
    • Ability to manage own time effectively.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills
    • Full UK driving licence (able to travel to client sites across UK).
    • Must be able to obtain SC security clearance.
     

     

    Although the role is predominately based at our head office in Warrington, it is essential that the Project Delivery Manager is flexible and able to travel to client sites on a regular basis. 

    Package:   £40,000 - £55,000 ote (includes:  bonus + car/car allowance with fuel card + 25 days holiday, and bank holidays.
