 Working within our small display team, researching, developing and implementing cutting edge algorithms for enhancements to our existing and planned range of display products, which are used by computer and mobile phone manufacturers worldwide.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for algorithm usage in our  Display products by working on the full cycle of algorithm development required to bring the algorithms successfully to market, including testing their commercial viability under real world conditions.  This will include:

  • Introduction of new features into the products:
  • Research and assist in the design of algorithms for new display features
  • Prototype and model algorithms for test purposes, using OpenGL and C
  • Produce hardware “friendly” models in Matlab
  • Produce bit accurate models
  • Produce documentation for datasheets
  • Where necessary, formalise the calibration procedure
  • Where necessary, support the creation of relevant firmware updates
  • Taking responsibility for maintaining the IP in the products:
  • Support for existing and new customers
  • Bug fixes
  • Improvements and upgrades

Skills Required:

  • Ability to develop complex image processing algorithms
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Software development in Matlab, C or C++.
  • PhD in a relevant image processing research area 

Experience Required: Experience within image processing, from either an academic or commercial background.

Other Requirements:

  • This position is within a small team so the successful candidate must be able to work well with colleagues and possess good communication skills. 
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • A proactive and flexible attitude, able to work with minimum supervision.
  • The candidate must be highly motivated, keen to make a real contribution to the development of our range of display products
