Face to Face Fundrasing Manager
Closing date: 26 July 2015 (Midnight)
We’re looking for a proactive individual who is used to managing face-to-face teams, to join us as a Face to Face Manager to train and retain our Birmingham F2F fundraising team and make sure our in-house activity maximises income.
Shelter depends increasingly upon voluntary income to fund much of its campaigning work and the services we provide to homeless and badly housed people. Individual Giving provides a big chunk of this income through a significant regular giving programme, while our in-house team plays its part by focusing on bringing quality new supporters on board through F2F & D2D fundraising. Currently, we’re implementing a pioneering three year strategy that will majorly transform our entire Fundraising Division and, within three years see our income rise to around £21m a year. In short, it’s a great time to join us.
Benefits include 30 days annual leave, the possibility of flexible working and significant opportunities for learning and development.
Your key responsibilities:
- Providing excellent people management and leadership by setting high team standards
- Making sure all F2F fundraisers receive full and proper training
- Monitoring the performance of teams and individuals and identifying and acting upon areas where improvement is needed
- Liaising with external suppliers and contacts to see that we meet and comply with PFRA guidelines for F2F activity
And what you’ll need:
- An in-depth understanding of the fundraising environment and the value of regular giving
- A commercially aware, proactive and results driven approach and a flair for applying creative thinking to bring about new ideas and approaches
- Excellent leadership, communication and relationship building skills and the confidence to deal effectively with potentially difficult situations
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, email and the internet as well as databases for reporting purposes
At Shelter, we welcome and encourage applications from everyone regardless of age, disability, gender, ethnicity, religion and sexual orientation. We are facing diverse problems, so need diverse people to tackle them.
Shelter helps millions of people a year struggling with bad housing or homelessness – and we campaign to prevent it in the first place.
We’re here so no-one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own.
No agencies please.
