As a Support/Care Assistant your duties will include (but are not limited to)

• Provide first class support to clients daily
• Follow all the requirements laid out in the Risk Assessments and clients Personal Assistant Plans
• Ensure clients safety is maintained within their homes at all times
• Prepare meals
• Undertake household and cleaning tasks
• Maintain good communication with clients at all times
• Build strong and lasting relationships with all clients

To be a successful Support/Care Assistant you will have the following skills : -

• Proven experience in a similar role
• A compassionate nature
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Working knowledge of the Safeguarding Process
• Ability to recognise hazards
• Ability to report hazards
• Ability to carry out moving and positioning techniques
• Excellent time keep skills
• Ability to work as a team and alone.
• QCF level 2 in Health and Social care (advantageous)
• Understanding of supporting people to live well with Dementia (ideal)
• Understanding of supporting people to live an independent life (ideal)
• Excellent communication skills
