Technical/Non-Functional Test Engineer: Duties and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the analysis and decomposition of Non-Functional Requirements. You will analyse, diagnose and report test results, and will be responsible for test design. You will prepare test data and test estimates, and report any progress to the Test Lead/Manager. You will carry out non-functional performance and resiliency testing, logging any issues or risks, and report these to the Test Lead/Manager. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of complex projects on behalf of a number of different clients in a range of industries. This role offers plenty of scope for professional development and a fantastic, collaborative working environment.
Technical/Non-Functional Test Engineer: Skills and Experience
- Strong background in the System Test/System Integration Test area of the SDLC
- Experience of Performance, Stress and Soak testing
- Solid experience of basic programming and Scripting
- Good understanding of software architecture patterns eg SOA, N-Tier
- Experience of Automated Deployments/Source Control
- You will have a strong technical aptitude, and a willingness to learn new approaches/tools/technologies
- You will ideally have experience of working in an Agile software development environment, with experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- You will ideally have experience of continuous integration, and will have gained exposure to a number of different operating systems (Windows, Android, ios)
