Project Manager
Bournemouth
My client requires a project manager to support the launch of key new products and partners. The role encompasses both IT project management and business/operational implementation.
The project manager will be responsible for the success of all their work streams and will feed into the overall delivery and cost control plan. Throughout the life cycle of each work stream, the manager will track project status and manage project teams to mitigate issues and risks.
You will define and create project plans for project, portfolio, product prioritisation and implementation. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to capture new product ideas and convert them into delivery plans. You must be able to demonstrate experience in evaluating trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value. You will act as a partner with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria to build, leads, and coaches multiple project teams throughout project life cycles. Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities throughout the life cycle of projects and assess and resolves all high priority project risks as they are encountered, whilst ensuring all projects adhere to project methodology compliance standards set by the company.
The right candidate will have a minimum of 4 years' experience of managing projects and the supporting methodologies together with an understanding of software development life cycles (ie Agile, Scrum, waterfall, iterative). Ideally this should be in a product development or an IT environment. Importantly you will be able to demonstrate exceptional problem solving, organisational, facilitation and leadership skills in your current role. You will be an adept communicator who is comfortable working in an environment with frequent and unpredictable change. You should be experienced in the use of planning and estimating techniques and familiar with project management tools such as MS Project. Ideally you will hold a current PRINCE 2.0 practioner certificate.
