Description: Role Test Analysts (Projects) Location Crewe Salary GBPCompetitive Role Purpose Ensure that systems developed in-house are fully tested and meet the high standards of quality expected by the business. To identify defects and assist in the mitigation of risks. Role Requirements
- Responsible for the testing of software produced by the Development teams
- Investigate and verify problems with the software systems and base data reported by the business and hand to the relevant parties for solution
- Liaise with the necessary parties during the testing life cycle to ensure that the implementation is delivered on time and of expected quality
- Raise any issues found during the course of normal use/testing to the appropriate parties
- Report any problems or issues that may affect the agreed deadline to the line manager as soon as they are known
- Adopt a professional approach and behaviour when dealing with the business and user community
- Contribute to the effectiveness of the Test Team by the sharing of technical and business knowledge
- Carry out additional duties as directed in line with business needs
- Report all defects and manage through to resolution
- Contribute to daily update reports to Project Team (PM, IT WSL, TM, Key developers) showing progress of testing along with risks and issues and recommendations to mitigate risks
- Monitor volume of helpdesk logs ensuring volume is processed within timely manner and meet planned release dates
- Provide support and guidance to the Test Team members to ensure ongoing development and improvement.
- Reviewing testing documentation, strategy's and tools, recommending improvements to the TM.
- Provide peer reviews of all test documentation to ensure quality and efficient scope is achieved.
- Ensure that quality is maintained by the team as a whole, and ensure that tasks are completed to deadline and required standards.
- Take a leading role in the analysis of new testing tools/techniques, and ultimately supporting any proposals through to implementation
