Application Support Analyst - Oracle/SQL/.Net
My client is looking to recruit a number of Application Support Analysts to work in a newly formed ITIL led Service framework
As Application Support Engineer, you will be tasked with the provision of company wide quality application support in a web based environment. This will incorporate out of hours support on a rota basis.
Within this role, the Application Support Analyst will:
- Support existing applications
- Guide clients/customers through the resolution process from inception through to completion
- Investigate issues and escalate to the software development team where appropriate
- Undertake full software root cause software support analysis
- Undertake some programmimg/code fixing on software patches/installs
- Be involved in installation, upgrades and maintenance of software systems
The role of Applications Support will necessitate hands on experience of web based development languages along with a sound knowledge of Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL. Experience of .Net, VBScript, Python or JavaScript would be advantageous as would ITIL certification.
Candidates must be prepared to undertake out of hours support as required.
