This is an exciting opportunity to join a South Somerset based Sports Event Fulfillment Company. There are 3 mains divisions to the company: Event Management, Race Timing and Online Registration & Social Media.

They are seeking a new team member to lead the Sales & Marketing effort across the company.

Although the company is relatively small, they are growing in excess of 100% year on year, and aim to do so over the next 5 years. They aim to take their brands internationally within the next 3 years. The company has set themselves an aggressive growth strategy, with new products, brands and services coming online in the very near future. They have recently hired additional development resources to build new and exciting services. Their technology platform will be best in class.

They work primarily with Running, Triathlon and Cycling event organisers, but expect this to expand into new sports areas too.

They are seeking a highly motivated, experienced sales person to help the company meet its sales objectives. The person will have limited budget and will need to be creative and demonstrate the desire and energy to meet those targets. A bonus and commission scheme will be introduced with greater rewards for stretched targets.

Key Skills:

- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
- Excellent and proven IT Skills, including Marketing via Social Media
- A minimum of 3 years sales & marketing experience
- Ability to generate, develop and manage new business leads
- Full and clean driving license
- Flexible in your outlook to the working day. The successful candidate may be required to fulfill a variety of roles.
- Flexibility to work at weekends, to support our Event Teams with delivery of both Event Management and Race Timing is important

Role & Responsibilities:

- Agree sales targets with company directors
- Produce a budgeted and well constructed sales & marketing strategy to achieve targets
- Maintain weekly & monthly sales reports
- Seek out new opportunities via own research: web, magazines, sports events listings
- To represent and act as an ambassador of the company
- To attend meetings and liaise with event organisers

Working hours and Salary:

- The role is to be Full Time, 37.5 hours per week. With 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- A Sales bonus scheme will be introduced with stretched targets
- Basic Salary of £20,000 + Commission
