Our client is looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to be part of the Group Accounts Department and you will have a vital role in helping the team to deliver effective, efficient and economical services to the Group.
Your primary responsibility is to pay the company's suppliers in accordance with office procedures. This requires you to take ownership of the ledger, have a high level of accuracy and excellent organisational skills to deal with the high volume of suppliers. You will communicate effectively both internally and externally to resolve statement discrepancies and respond to supplier enquiries.

Duties will include;-
* Reconciling supplier statements
* Opening new Purchase Ledger accounts
* Maintain Purchase Ledger accounts - updating supplier details
* Creating supplier payment runs
* Processing proforma cheque and BACS payments
* Reconciling bank statements
* Franking Accounts Department external post daily
* Annual archiving of payment and supplier records
* Processing monthly journals for printing and stationery and other miscellaneous journals
* Distributing internal and external post daily

Previous Purchase Ledger experience is preferred.
