HR Advisor required for a busy Human Resources Team with a well-established Company supporting sites predominately based in Surrey, Hertfordshire and Greater London.

SALARY: up to £35,000 + Car or Car Allowance + Benefits (Laptop, Smart Phone, Private Pension and Private Health Care)

 

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an HR Advisor that has a solid Human Resources Generalist background with sound knowledge of Employment Legislation and TUPE.

Working as the HR Advisor you will report directly to the Human Resources Business Partner and will be responsible for delivering timely advice and guidance to management on all Human Resource issues in accordance with current employment legislation. 

As the HR Advisor you will also be responsible for the day to day management, coaching and development of a Human Resource Administrator.

You will be predominately based in the South of England (Surrey, Hertfordshire and Greater London) but must be willing to travel across the whole of the UK when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As the HR Advisor your key responsibilities will include:

  • Report regularly to the HR Business Partner on all Human Resource issues within the geographical area of responsibility
  • Ensure line management have timely and expert advice on all HR issues
  • Develop a close understanding of the business needs and environment ensuring a high visibility and proactive HR involvement
  • Day to day management of the HR Administrator
  • Advise management on the handling of disciplinary matters in accordance with company procedures
  • Provide wording for investigation and disciplinary invites in line with investigation reports supplied by line management
  • Produce grievance outcome letters in timely manner, from information supplied by the chairing managers
  • Ensure that HR policies promote good practice balancing business priorities and legal requirements with commercial realities, under the direction of the HR Business Partner
  • Calculations of redundancy payments and co-ordinate redundancy consultations
  • Provide support, as required with incoming and outgoing TUPE

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Ideally hold or be working towards a CIPD qualification
  • Proven HR experience in a demanding multi-site environment
  • Proven experience of dealing with high volume workloads and issues
  • Have a sound knowledge of employment legislation and TUPE experience gained in a services environment
  • Good decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be computer literate and have experience of working with a computerised HR system

  • Ability to be flexible as extensive travel will be required
