Wind Turbine Technician – Hagshaw Hill, Douglas Scotland

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience, benefits of contributory pension, medical and life insurance

B9 Energy O&M Ltd is the UK and Ireland’s largest independent wind farm Operation and Maintenance Company. We currently wish to appoint additional Wind Turbine Technician to work on Hagshaw wind farm.

The principal duties of a Wind Turbine Technician are to: carry out site operational and maintenance duties including both scheduled and unscheduled turbine maintenance; respond to breakdown calls; site safety and environmental management. Previous experience on Bonus 600 wind turbine maintenance would be preferable but is not essential.

Candidates must have a minimum of an NVQ level 3 in an electrical and/or mechanical engineering discipline or have five years’ experience working in an electro/mechanical engineering environment.

For these positions a full driving licence is essential as is a good degree of physical fitness because the wind farm is in a relatively remote location and the candidates must be confident to work periodically at height and occasionally in adverse weather conditions. The candidates must also be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft office and word
