Multi-Skilled Factory Engineer - Euphorium Bakery. Based in Weybridge, Surrey. Offering a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 depending upon experience.

We are now looking for a Multi-Skilled Factory Engineer within our Bakery based in Weybridge.

The Multi-Skilled Factory Engineer Role:

The successful candidate would be tasked with both reactive and scheduled maintenance tasks on all production equipment on site. Equipment you could expect to work on includes conveyors, mixers, weighers, bread and roll plants, donut machines, ovens, pastry line and packaging machines and other associated bakery machinery.

Key Responsibilities of the Multi-Skilled Factory Engineer include:

- Most of the lines are PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) controlled and you would need to be able to fault find by hooking in with a laptop to trace the fault.

- You would also need to have the ability of tracing faults on mechanical systems and have the necessary skill to repair any mechanical breakdowns working within a small team of Engineers across all shifts all days of the week.

- The production equipment is to be newly installed; you will work with our machine suppliers to understand all the intricate detail of the equipment in order that you have a complete understanding of each machine and process.

- You would also be required to undertake company training in advanced engineering methods including LEAN manufacturing techniques.

- You will be working in a fast paced customer-driven environment, likely to be on a rotating continental shift pattern.

What is desirable of our Multi-Skilled Factory Engineer includes:

- Background in machinery maintenance including automotive, food manufacturing, materials handling or any other form of automation but food manufacturing would be ideal;

- An up to date and valid electrical qualification, ideally City and Guilds in Electrical Engineering;

- A strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance;

- Ability to fault find electrically and mechanically;

- Able to fault find on PLCs with previous PLC experience;

- Experience of PPM and reactive maintenance;

- Experience of working on hydraulic systems.

It’s essential the Multi-Skilled Factory Engineer has some or all of the following:

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Resilience and ability to thrive in a demanding and fast changing environment

- Able to use own initiative to solve problems and proactively implement the solution

- A team player who ensures knowledge is shared across all team members

- Good analytical and numerical skills.
