Database Administrator (DBA)

Reporting to the DBA Manager, the Database Administrator (DBA) will work as part of the IT team on a rota basis supporting the production SQL Server 2012 environment and helping to assist in supplying 3rd line on-call support for core business applications.

You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing SQL Servers that support business critical applications in a high availability environment, resolving business impacting incidents quickly and effectively and identifying and resolving problems to ensure potential incidents are prevented.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in a dedicated DBA role, supporting Microsoft SQL Server (2012 preferred) in a production environment and have provided production support in a Windows environment. You will be skilled with T-SQL & SSIS, have proven experience of working with Team Foundation Server (TFS) Tasks and Release Management and have good communication skills. Experience of using SQL Server in an availability group utilising Always On will be advantageous.
