Our client is an events and consultancy business, servicing a global network of senior executives involved in sports and entertainment worldwide. They bring together the most important senior figures involved in sport business and sports performance from around the globe.
They are an international business engaging with over 55 different countries and across 45 different sports. Their exclusive invite-only events provide both cutting edge content and unrivalled networking environments for clients, which attract huge media interest. Their flagship event attracts around 18,000 senior level delegates, held in both New York and London. Working with huge clients such as the NFL, FIFA and NASCAR, this is a great chance to become an integral part of a market leading, global Sport Events company.
Based in Fulham, South West London, the chosen candidate will be in a unique position to develop their career with a young, exciting and rapidly growing company at the heart of the sports industry.
The Opportunity
If you are successfully selected, you will join our client in the delegate and exhibitions sales position. You will focus on growing the business at an international level, as well as selling across the client's portfolio of products when required. Due to the rapid growth and success of our events, vacancies have arisen to sell across their international portfolio including London and New York.
You will seek to engage with senior figures within the sporting arena such as premiership football clubs across Europe, Cricket councils and rugby to name a few. As well as this you will be engaging with some top businesses such as Google, Sky, and Deloitte. You will build value around your offering by seeking to understand your customer's needs to find the most relevant events and services.
Ultimately, you want to close sales, so this is a big part of the role.
This is a fast paced sales opportunity that is focused on the selling of sports events. It's a competitive market place, so you need to be up for the challenge and want to use your strong relationship building skills to execute high value deals.
ISMM Accredited Training - to ensure your success, you will take part in a 9 day sales training course designed to give you all the skills to excel in your new role.
Required skills/ qualifications
- An excellent communicator
- Evidence of tenacity & hardworking attitude
- A constant high performer and natural leader
- Ability to build rapport and relationships easily on the phone and face to face
- Must be London-based or moving here (ideally living within the South or West side of London)
- Interest in sport
- Experience in a client/ customer facing role
- Smart and professional at all times
