We are currently looking to recruit an Area Manager for our client based in the Tees Valley. Our client is a long established Care Home Provider with sites in and around the Tees Valley region and more home developments in the pipeline. All their homes are modern and purpose built to a high specification. They are currently recruiting for an Area Manager to oversee their Care Homes, working as understudy to the Operations Director. Salary: £40,000+ DOE PLUS Attractive Bonus Package

Our client has a proven track record of successfully developing & commissioning new care homes over the year and their latest home is expected to open in the coming weeks.

The Area Manager will be working closely with the Operations Director and it is hoped that up on the Operations Director retirement, the Area Manager will be able to step into the vacant role.

The Role:

* As the Area Manager you will be responsible for the three homes within the Group which consist of Residential, Dementia and Nursing care.
* Ensuring compliance with Company policies, practices and procedures. The standard of care is of paramount importance.
* Ensuring new care homes are seamlessly commissioned.
* Work with the Managing Director to identify priorities (immediate, medium term and long term) and to bring ideas to the table in respect of developing the services and business as a whole
* Managing all aspects Budgets and Profit and Loss
* Act as line manager to the care home managers and as the Nominated Individual

The Ideal Candidate:

* As the Area Manager you must have previous experience of management within the care home setting working for a Care/Nursing/Residential Home.
* Must come from a position of management with experience overseeing other managers
* Nurse qualified
* It is imperative that you can demonstrate ability to work within a small team -being both a team player and taking full ownership of your work and seeing projects through
* Good operational skills such as budget management, performance management, recruitment, implementing procedures, compliant handling, and problem solving
* Must be confident and efficient in practice
* Sound knowledge of CQC policies, procedures and quality assurances
* Excellent time management
* Caring and compassionate
* Honest, reliable and flexible
* Good communication skills
* You must be professional
* Eligible to work in the UK
