Our client is looking to employ additional electricians to expand the electrical department.

You should have completed a recognised apprenticeship, have experience carrying out installation work, fault finding and repairs on a variety of installations and also be capable of certifying any work carried out. Current BS7671 qualification as well as City and Guilds 2391 or equivalent is essential as is experience carrying out electrical inspections and producing quality certificates and the ability to supply the information to allow us to produce the quotations to rectify any defects discovered. Good communication skills are also essential to this role as the customer base is mostly the residential care industry.

Working Hours: 8.00 to 4.30 (40 hours per week) Half hour lunch break.
Pay Rate: Wage negotiable. + O/T
Terms: 13 weeks trial period any offer subject to the required experience.
Holidays: 22 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays.
Pension: Stakeholders Pension Non contributory
Sickness: Statutory Sick Pay only

Duties:
To work closely with the department Supervisor / Manager. Installation work. Fault finding. Inspection and testing of electrical installations from care homes to industrial installations.

Service Engineer
Company van provided c/w fuel card and roadside assistance, tracker installed.
Company mobile phone provided.
On Call Rota – Currently 1 in 10 days £10 per night Monday to Friday and £25 per night Saturday and Sunday

Duties include

  • Electrical Installation – all aspects of electrical installation work.
  • Electrical Inspection and Testing EICR.
  • Fault finding and correction of identified faults.
  • Based in North East some travel involved.
  • Some working away very rarely more than 3 nights.
  • Any other general duties – to suit needs of business.
