Randstad Education are currently working in partnership with a secondary school in Preston to recruit a teacher of Maths.
The Maths Teaching position will start after the Easter Holiday and will run for the duration of the summer term.
You will be teaching a full timetable of Maths from Years 7 through to 11. You will have a mixed ability timetable so will enjoy the diversity and ability ranges that the school can offer. The pupils are typical of the local area and there is an evident community feel and mutual respect between staff and pupils. To deal with the odd 'character' the school has an effective based on rewards and sanctions which are always supported and followed through with SLT.
The department have exciting and innovative ways of delivering the curriculum, so the students remain engaged and interested. You will be responsible for the planning, preparation and delivery of such lessons and will be offered support from the department with your planning.
Ideally the successful candidate with have experience of teaching Maths to GCSE. The role is open for experienced teachers and NQTs, with scope to start your NQT year.
