Retailer Sales Development Manager (Business Manager/Sales Controller)

This role is a bespoke position for the SKODA network which amalgamates the business manager and sales controller functions. Employed directly by the SKODA retailer, you would be working alongside the Sales Manager and be responsible for improving the finance and insurance performance.

You would be tasked with implementing core behaviours that SKODA UK has identified as being instrumental to success.

This role is not a traditional Business Manager function as you would be expected to control the "three day window", i.e. all the activity today, yesterday and tomorrow. Measuring the sales funnel, ensuring the department is efficient with their enquiries and driving activity.

The successful individual would need to possess strong sales process knowledge as well as proven F&I skills. This is a "hands on" position and you would be expected to be a very visible part of the sales process.

Coaching and development of the team is also a large part of this role in order to deliver a consistent sustainable business improvement.


Automotive industry experience is required as a Sales Manager, Business Manager or a Senior Sales Executive who is looking to make the step up to management.

On-going coaching and development will be provided to the successful individual by SKODA UK and Volkswagen Financial Services.
